Christine MiaskowskiDepartment of Physiological Nursing Professor and Associate Dean Christine Miaskowski, RN, PhD, is an internationally recognized expert in pain and pain management. Her research focuses on evaluating deleterious effects of unrelieved symptoms and on developing and testing techniques that decrease pain in cancer patients. She is the national chair of “Dream No Small Dreams,” a campaign sponsored by the American Pain Society (APS) to provide resources for education and research. She has authored more than 250 articles and four books, and received a Distinguished Service Award from the APS.
